| PETA spokeswoman (a.k.a. Dominique Swain) dumps puppies |

Hollywood actress and PETA spokeswoman Dominique Swain has reportedly been caught dumping unvaccinated puppies at an animal shelter.
Swain, 29, arrived at a Malibu refuge with her father and a box of eight-week-old cocker spaniel cross dogs over the weekend, reports claim.
The Lolita and Face/Off starlet, who posed naked in front of a school blackboard in a PETA animal rights advertisement, then reportedly told the shelter workers she couldn't pay for the puppies' vaccinations.
"She said she had no money, despite [arriving] in her BMW," Fox News reported a witness as saying.
"She was really rude. Eventually she said she would make a small donation, but just left the pups there and drove off."
Swain, who has starred in 35 feature films including 2006's Alpha Dog opposite Justin Timberlake, declared that "cruelty to animals is wrong" after shooting a racy anti-fur protest when she was 21 years old.
"If all I have to do is stand in front of a blackboard naked to make people think about the cruelty that animals go through to make a fur coat, I'm perfectly willing," she said at the time.
A spokesperson for PETA condemned Swain's actions and said the organisation had not worked with her for years.
NOT COOL I lost my motherfucking job a week after I got my kitten, and I still paid shitloads for vaccines/vet check-ups/food/toys because I love him to bits.

Frank Sinatra, 'I'm A Fool To Want You' |
] |

Here's an update on Martin Scorsese's biopic of Frank Sinatra. Who's to star? Leonardo DiCaprio, George Clooney or Johnny Depp? Asked about casting by Vulture, Martin Scorsese says nothing's been settled on and he's been distracted with other projects. In fact he won't start discussing the picture in earnest until February when "Shutter Island" opens. "I have meetings about it [the biopic in California]. Which will be in February, I think. I’ve sort of gone on to these other projects (the George Harrison documentary, the pilot for HBO show "Boardwalk Empire").
Sounds like the project is a bit of a ways off, but good to hear there is still some movement on the Harrison doc which we're greatly anticipating and haven't heard from in months. But Scorsese did discuss "Sinatra" and the script at length.
Q: What will the Sinatra movie be like? A: The interesting thing about the Sinatra script — which is by Phil Alden Robinson — is that it spans his life from being a young child to his twenties, his thirties to his late seventies Q: So it starts out with him in New Jersey as a little boy? A: No it inter-cuts everything throughout time. Q: So it starts out with him old and flashes back? A: Not really, no. Got to find another way to do that. All those things came to mind, but have been done too much. Q: With the Dean Martin biopic you'd once planned to make, you had very specific ideas for who would play the Rat Pack (John Travolta as Sinatra, Hugh Grant as Peter Lawford, Adam Sandler as Joey Bishop, etc.). Will you have any of those actors finally play those roles in your Sinatra movie? A: I’m not sure now. That was almost ten years ago and the people we were thinking of are older. The casting is a very tricky thing, because you can't say, "You’re going to play Sinatra, you’re going to play Dean Martin," because who can play them, you know? You have to do something else, you’re not going to find that yet. Q: Will the actor playing Sinatra sing? A: I'm not sure yet, but I would think since there's no one who can sing like Sinatra, you have to use his voice. Yes, as we said before...it must be Frank's voice!
source Yikes. I can't decide if I should still be angry about this or not, but I am very wary about who will play... everyone :/

Winona Ryder 'Enough' for Hallmark
Winona Ryder and Barry Pepper have been cast to star in the Hallmark Hall of Fame movie "When Love Is Not Enough: The Lois Wilson Story."
Production starts this week in Toronto; the longform will air later this season on CBS.
Movie is based on the true story of Lois Wilson, the co-founder of Al-Anon, and her relationship with alcoholic husband Bill Wilson, one of the founders of Alcoholics Anonymous.
The couple enjoyed an upscale lifestyle in the 1920s, but his drinking eventually led to their downfall. Eventually, her husband became sober -- but Lois Wilson still struggled with her own issues surrounding his alcoholism. She eventually helped found Al-Anon in 1951 to help people whose loved ones battle addiction.
E1 Entertainment is producing the movie with Hallmark Hall of Fame Prods. John Morayniss, Ira Pincus and Brent Shields are exec producing, while John Kent Harrison is the director. Telepic is based on the book by William Borchert, who also wrote the script with Camille Thomasson.
Ryder's upcoming credits include "The Private Lives of Pippa Lee," while Pepper was seen in "61*" and "Flags of Our Fathers."

Taylor shared with press about her nominations, “It’s so wonderful when people come up to me and say that I have a shot at winning. It actually is really, really a wonderful thing when people do that, but my parents raised me to have the mindset that the world doesn’t owe me anything and you can’t feel entitled to winning, you can’t feel entitled to success.”

Sandra Bullock to host New Orleans premiere of her latest film, 'The Blind Side'
Warner Bros. and The Prytania Theatre will roll out the red carpet for New Orleans' newest A-list resident, Sandra Bullock, as the actress hosts a benefit premiere next week of her latest movie, the sports drama "The Blind Side."
The event, set for Nov. 19, will raise money for Warren Easton Charter High School, which has enjoyed Bullock's support in its efforts to rebuild after 2005's Hurricane Katrina.
(Since Hurricane Katrina, Bullock has become a major patron of Warren Easton, the first public high school for boys in Louisiana. The school, which dates to 1845 and survived going co-ed and desegregating, was having trouble opening after Hurricane Katrina because the storm caused $4 million in damages at the brick Canal Street building where it has operated since 1913.
Bullock has donated several hundred thousand dollars to the school, helping to renovate the school's auditorium, buying new Fighting Eagle band uniforms, chipping in for scholarships and helping to fund a new health clinic.) ( Read more... )"The Blind Side" is based on the real-life story of Baltimore Ravens offensive tackle Michael Oher, who, as a homeless and rudderless teen in Memphis, Tenn., was taken in by the Tuohy family. Enrolled in private school, he would go on to become an All-American at Ole Miss, and a first-round selection of the Ravens in the 2009 draft. "The Blind Side" opens in theaters Nov. 20.
On a completely unrelated note: I love how Ellen whacked her over the head with the bottle.

| Chris Brown, Rihanna videos to premiere on same day |

|
(CNN) -- Chris Brown and Rihanna's careers will go head to head again on Friday, when the pair release music videos on the same day. Brown will join talk show host Wendy Williams for a sit-down and the premiere of his video for "Crawl," from his forthcoming album "Graffiti," and Rihanna will debut her video for "Russian Roulette" on ABC's "20/20" later that evening. The line-up is like déjà vu of October 30, when ABC aired an exclusive interview with Rihanna in which she detailed Brown's abuse of her, while Brown discussed his version of their personal struggles with MTV News. Both singers have albums coming out in the next several weeks and both will begin touring before the end of the year. Rihanna's collaboration with Jay-Z and Kanye West, "Run This Town," is currently at number 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 music chart. Brown's "I Can Transform Ya" with Lil' Wayne and Swizz Beatz is currently at number 24. Making television appearances and being available to fans is a major part of both artists selling their music in a tough economic climate. According to psychologist Cooper Lawrence, author of "The Cult of Celebrity," though the media has painted him as the villain, fans will continue to rally around Chris Brown as long as he keeps doing what he is doing: publicly apologizing, remaining in the spotlight, touring and making music. | Ella Bleu Travolta Mirrors Her Career After Will & Jaden Smith |

November 10th, 2009 / 8:29pm
] |
After months of seclusion, taking time to heal privately from the tragic death of their son Jett, John Travolta and wife Kelly Preston came out to celebrate the premiere of their daughter Ella Bleu’s first ever film debut in Disney’s Old Dogs.
Lucky enough to be starring in a movie with iconic stars such as Robin Williams and both of her actor parents, Ella Bleu finally received her wish to be in a movie with daddy.
Lori Laughlin, from 90210, co-stars alongside the nine-year-old newbie and exclusively revealed to OK! that John took the role only because of what his daughter asked him two days before he received the script,
According to Lori, Ella knew that Will Smith and his son had done a film together and said,”Daddy when I can I do a movie with you?”
Drawing inspiration from Will, Ella, who stars as Marley Greer in the film, was all smiles as she walked down the carpet on Monday and her parents couldn’t have been more thrilled.
John gushed to reporters standing by his beaming daughter, “It’s amazing! We are here for her.”
